Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

In the event of an act of a domestic violence, that party can seek a temporary protective order from the court. As a preliminary matter, it can be sought on an Ex parte basis, and then thereafter on a temporary for a period of up to a year. That order can restrict and enjoin the other party from approaching, communicating, or otherwise harassing the victim of domestic violence.
